Drew Montgomery has had an interest in amateur theatre from a very young age when he took part in school musicals and performed with Ayrshire Youth Opera. He decided to join the Lyric Club after seeing our hugely entertaining and highly acclaimed version of Me and My Girl. His first principal role was as Lank Hawkins in the magical Gershwin musical Crazy for You. Other roles since then have included the Male Diction Teacher in last year’s Singin’ in the Rain and Officer Ward in Annie.

In June 2002, he made a truly wonderful Fagin in and enormously spirited and entertaining production of Oliver! which he also directed for the school where he taught.

Drew is also actively involved as a member of the Lyric Club’s management committee charged with the responsibility of organising production publicity.
