Alastair
Stone has been a member of
various clubs in and around Glasgow for the last 16 years, and first started
performing in the Glasgow Schools Youth Theatre whilst still at school. He has been a member of the West End Theatre
Society, Glasgow \Light Opera Club, Stirling and Bridge of Allan Amateur
Operatic Society, Three Wise Monkeys and the Lyric Club. Alastair
has played a wide variety of roles including Curly in Oklahoma, Billy Bigelow in Carousel, Moonface Martin in Anything Goes, Billy Lawlor in 42nd
Street, Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors, Jeff in Brigadoon, Jesus in Godspell
and Action in West Side Story. Alastair
has also been involved as a choir singer on the Glasgow leg of Barry Manilow
and Michael Bolton’s tours. He is also
a singer in Epicureans – a local band.
His favourite role, to date, is Bill Snibson in Me and My Girl, first
playing the character in Stirling’s Amateur Premier and then recreating the
role for the Lyric Club’s production in 1999.
