Alan
Orr started his career in musicals with East Kilbride Light Opera Club in
1998, and in the space of just four years has notched up 12 shows with EKLOC,
Theatre Guild, the Lyric Club and the Minerva Club.
Principal roles to date have been varied – Stewart Cameron (Brigadoon), Guiseppe (The
Most Happy Fella) – both with East
Kilbride – Lun Tha (The King & I), Buggins (Half a Sixpence), Lt.
Cable (South Pacific), Billy Crocker (Anything Goes)
– all with Theatre Guild – Mingo (Crazy for You), Production Tenor (Singin’ in the Rain), Senator Morganthau
(Annie) – with the Lyric Club – and also the title role of Harold
Hill in The Music Man, Ito in Mame and Charlie
Davenport in Annie Get Your Gun with the Minerva
Club. His latest role with the Lyric
Club was Sir Jasper Tring in Me and My Girl.
Alan performed the role of Marius in a Les Miserables Masterclass in
the Palace Theatre in
Alan recently appeared as M LeClerc in Caring City
Production’s Allo Allo
in the Crawfurd Theatre,
In his ‘spare time’, Alan works for Scottish Power, and has served as a member of the Lyric Club Management Committee.
