The Lyric Club  is an amateur musical club based in Glasgow, Scotland, and has been producing Musicals since 1902.  We recently celebrated our Centenary with productions of Singin' in the Rain (March) and Annie (September), and our 2003 production - Mack & Mabel was a “resounding artistic success”.  Due to popular demand, we repeated Annie in March 2004, and because of the demand for tickets, we had to add a third performance on the Saturday morning at 11:00am.  In 2005, we performed Me and My Girl which was another resounding success as was our 2006 production -  Summer Holiday .  Last year, we made our debut in The Theatre Royal with our production of Oliver!

 which was great fun and another huge success.

                        Charity Sponsorship                    

Each year, The Lyric Club gives their support to a Charity Organisation. 

This year we shall be supporting The Meningitis Association Scotland

which was founded by Mrs Eileen McKeirnan following the death of her son, Lee, from

meningitis in October 1990.

The association offers support to families who have lost a loved one to meningitis as well

as supporting those who have survived.  It also funds research into finding a cure for the

condition.

Currently, the association funds a dedicated support unit for survivors of meningitis based

in Yorkhill Hospital.
